According to the statement, upon being booked for Red Stripe Live, Assassin submitted (as per the organizers' request) the complete songs (without edits) that he would be performing during his set. He notes that he rehearsed the songs in their entirety on two separate occasions in the presence of representatives from Red Stripe.

Photos began floating around the net this morning of pop star Rihanna donning a very tiny hand gun tattoo that is drawn over her ribcage.
Reggae singer Ziggy Marley is scheduled to perform at the White House on April 13, as part of President Barack Obama's Easter celebrations.
Marley, the eldest of reggae legend Bob Marley's sons, said he was contacted last week by the office of First Lady Michelle Obama to appear at the event which is a White House tradition.
"I'm really excited about it; we get the chance to spread the message all the way to the White House," Marley told The Gleaner.

Bailed-out bankers should be thankful that the Jamaican dancehall singer Mavado doesn't run U.S. economic policy. On his latest single, "So Special," one of the rare dancehall records to spend time on recent Billboard Hot 100 R&B/Hip-Hop charts, he paints himself as an avenging angel of the poor and dispossessed. "Fire it 'til wet pon dat / you betta help poor people" he wails over a minimalist stutter-step beat. "Every dirty work, Jah shall show dem a sign," perhaps one where the "special" is of the .45 variety he mentions in the song.
