JAY-Z and Alicia Keys to Perform "Empire State Of Mind" On-Field at Game One of World Series on FOX; Alicia Keys to Perform National Anthem

NEW YORK, Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- New York natives JAY-Z and Alicia Keys, two of the most successful recording artists in the world, will perform their hit single "Empire State Of Mind," from JAY-Z's #1 album The Blueprint 3, on the field at Yankee Stadium prior to Game One of the 2009 World Series on Wednesday, October 28. Following their joint performance, Keys will sing the national anthem.

Both performances will air on FOX, which begins its World Series coverage of the New York Yankees against the defending champion Philadelphia Phillies at 7:30 p.m. Eastern. An avid Yankee fan, JAY-Z has worn a Yankee cap in music videos, magazine photo shoots, and on album covers.

, THE HARDER THEY COME is playing from August 29 until September 13 at the Sanford and Dolores Ziff Ballet Opera House. Hailed by Time Out as "a real thrill...the band is tight, the clothes are right - it's a sure-fire smash hit," THE HARDER THEY COME features a cast of 16 Jamaican-born performers and tells the story of young singer Ivanhoe Martin (played by Rolan Bell) as he arrives in Kingston, Jamaica with dreams of becoming a reggae star.
